In light of recent new broadcasts and live announcements, we have been hearing many rumors and changes take place daily in regards to corporate and personal taxes as well as subsidies being offered to individuals and businesses.  Rest assured that we are staying on top of the changes, but we are not able to say with certainty, beyond what is listed on the Government of Alberta and Canada Revenue Agency websites how these changes will affect you.  We do not receive any additional information from the CRA or Government of Alberta beyond these releases.

Here are the links to the pages that we think may be of value to you.

Alberta Government COVID-19 support for employers and employees

What we do know is that in order to benefit from many of the subsidies, personal income tax needs to be filed for individuals and for corporations, while deferrals have taken place for payments, the GST and Source deductions filing deadlines remain the same.

  • We are committed to assisting individuals with registering for MyAccount with the CRA and MyAlbertaDigitalID to ensure they can apply for the benefits when those processes are put in place.
  • We are committed to maintaining deadlines for our clients.
  • We are committed to utilizing whatever subsidies are available for our corporate clients and will be letting them know what is applicable to them as we complete payroll, GST, or corporate income tax.

We will continue to update our website and Facebook page with information as we receive it.  Please utilize these spaces as we continue to work on the day to day operations of SOS in keeping all of our clients CRA compliant.

Thank you for your understanding.
